History

My grandfather was a Cabinet Maker for Rolls-Royce and as a small child I would spend hours with him in his workshop making various things using different types of wood. I left college in the late eighties and worked as a self employed antique Furniture Restorer and Wood Turner. I spent most of my early career working in London making furniture for Pearl Dot, Mark Wilkinson and Smallbone. I have worked on many types of projects and in different places including listed properties, luxury boats, private jets and even in the Tower of London!

Over the last 25 years I have designed and made many Kitchens and Free standing pieces of furniture including tables, cabinets, desks, bookcases and wardrobes.

In 2007 my wife Paula & I relocated from the city to the small market town of Alcester in Warwickshire...in our early 30’s we wanted to try a find a work/life balance.

I set up a small workshop from a quaint barn in a local village and through word of mouth recommendations and getting to know people in the area the business grew from strength to strength. I needed to employ other cabinet makers and I also decided to invest my time and knowledge in developing young people in the area. Working closely with Warwickshire College we now have a successful Apprenticeship scheme.

I really enjoy creating Kitchens and love working with clients to make their ideas become a reality. With the use of 3D CAD software I am able to show clients a very realistic visual of what their finished Kitchen will look like.

I still get a buzz from seeing the timber arrive in its raw state as I follow it through the processes until it becomes a room full of Beautiful Cabinetry.

In 2010 Paula joined the business full time bringing with her vast business experience from various sectors. Paula works closely with customers and suppliers and enjoys designing Kitchens too! She is responsible for project management, administration and marketing. You can even sometimes see her out in the workshop helping the team!

In 2013 we moved the business to a larger purpose built workshop in Alcester, this has given us the opportunity to invest in new machinery including our CNC router.

We are very happy to be working in such a lovely market town and I support local businesses and trades in the area. I am passionate about maintaining British Manufacturing and do not want to loose the valuable skills and knowledge we have in the area.

Best Wishes
